About this pattern
The elephant is built from large, simple masses — the body, the ear, the trunk — with the tusks as the one bright accent. Large shapes are what the puzzle pattern needs, since its wandering cell boundaries would swallow anything small. The puzzle pattern gives each cell interlocking tabs and blanks, so boundaries between regions wander rather than run straight. That irregularity disguises the grid — the finished page looks less mechanically converted than any other pattern here — but it also makes cells harder to scan, since no two are quite the same shape.
